We are pleased to announce participant recruitment for the 2017 State Team. We aim for all workshops and auditions to be fun and relaxing yet challenging and ambitious. If you are interested in joining Victoria’s State Team you must attend both the audition and workshop sections for your section.

Seniors recruitment process
In the senior section there are two audition dates (no workshops) but to enable selection we ask that all potential competitors attend audition one in the first instance. Audition two is a call back session from the first audition. If you can’t attend the first audition please register for the second audition but only as a reserve option. Contact the CVI office on 95626011 or email admin@calisthenics.asn.au should you need to register for the second audition only. Please note, all pupils turning 17 in 2017 will need to register as Seniors due to ACF age requirements.

Recruitment for all other sections
At the Intermediates, Juniors and Sub Juniors workshop you will learn some of the choreography required for the audition. Therefore please book for both sessions if you intend to audition for State Team. You can attend the workshop to gain a deeper understanding of the State Team process but not necessarily try out for State Team during the audition process. Please indicate your preference during the online booking process.

What is a workshop?
At the workshop you will meet the coaching team, other special guests, learn choreography and get a deeper understanding of the State Team experience.

What is an audition?
An audition is more formal where participants are selected after performing choreography in small and large teams. The coaching leadership team will be present and a few additional selection panel members will assist in choosing the best competitors to represent Victoria.

Please note competitors can register on the day but we recommend that you secure your place by registering through Trybooking before the closing date. All participants must be registered as members of CVI. Participation in the process is free for everyone. Promotional photography will be taken at the workshop sessions only.

What to bring?
Please bring the following to your audition or workshop
• your Trybooking confirmation (please print this out and bring it with you, we will also have a record of your registration)
• your water bottle, clubs, rods and aesthetics skirt
• heaps of enthusiasm and lots of ambition

What to wear?
Please wear a black leotard (tights are optional) and your hair in a neat bun.

The selection process
Those that are successful will receive an email after their respective audition with a formal letter notifying them of the outcome.

Indicative State Team Timeline
1. State Team Camp – Late January 2017
2. State Team Concert – June 2017 (not the 18 June 2017)
3. Nationals will take place between 3 and 8 July 2017 in Sydney, NSW (Venue TBC)
